Welcome
"Painting is about the heart , the head and the hand. And this one feels when looking at a painting by Lynda Minter"
- Professor Ken Howard RA
"Lynda Minter is a natural painter, her handling of paint rich and free on the surface, and impressively sure in its scope and sweep"
- William Packer - Art Critic
"The light in Minter's paintings is a major component and accounts for much of the emotional charge of her work"
- Professor Maurice Cockrill RA
The Keeper of the Royal Academy of Arts
My paintings are about light, space and atmosphere. I work from sketches and notes and start making small oil colour studies on panels or paper on site. My approach to materials is rather like cooking, always use the best ingredients, with the purest oils on linen.
